GFCIs protect against electrical shock that result from ground faults. Ground faults occur when electrical current in devices stray outside of its normal path. A human body can become part of this circuit, which results in an electrical shock. GFCIs analyze the amount of current entering and existing from the circuit and will trip when the difference is greater than a certain value.
Siemens GFCI circuit breakers are UL Listed and CSA Certified as Class A devices. Current imbalances of 4-6 milliamps or more between load conductors will cause the ground fault sensor to trip the circuit Breaker. Note: A load neutral is not required on the circuit. However, the white line neutral (pigtail) must be connected to the panel neutral for the device to function. The Siemens 2-pole GFCI circuit breaker can be installed on a 120/240-volt AC single phase, 3-wire system, the 120/240-volt AC portion of a 240/120-volt, 3-phase, 4-wire system, or on a 208Y/120-volt, 3-phase, 4-wire system. When installed on these systems, protection is provided for 2-wire, 240V AC or 208V AC circuits; 3-wire, 120/240-volt AC circuits. The Siemens 1-pole GFCI circuit breaker is to be installed only on a single phase 120/240-volt AC system.
Siemens GFCI plug in circuit breakers are intended for use in Siemens EQ, Siemens Ultimate, ITE, and Gould load centers or meter combinations. The single pole Siemens breakers may be used in 1 or 3-phase load centers and are 120V rated. To ensure the warranty on a Siemens panel is not voided, the use of Siemens breakers is required. The GFCI is intended for areas required by code to have ground fault protection, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor circuits. Check with your local electrical inspector to confirm. The use of a double pole AFCI allows for shared neutral applications in which two circuits will share a common neutral.

The Siemens BL Circuit Breaker is a panelboard mounted, non-interchangeable trip molded case circuit breaker available in 10-125A, 1-, 2-, and 3-pole. Available in 10KAIC, 22KAIC and 65KAIC interrupting ratings. Also, available are arc-fault, ground-fault and switching neutral breakers. Siemens strongly recommends against the use of “used” breakers. The installation of used breakers in a Siemens panel will void the warranty on the panel. Siemens does not sell used breakers and has not approved any 3rd party sellers to do so.

Description: advanced protection, energy efficient class Rk5 dual element, current-limiting, time-delay fuses with optional open fuse indication on select ratings.^^Features: provides motor overload, ground fault and short-circuit protection helps protect Motors against burnout from overloads helps protect Motors against burnout from single-phasing on three-phase systems simplifies and improves blackout prevention (selective coordination) dual-element fuses can be applied in circuits subject to temporary motor overloads and surge currents to provide both high performance short-circuit and overload protection the overload element provides protection against low level overcurrent of overloads and will hold an overload which is five times greater than the ampere rating of the fuse for a minimum of ten seconds.^^Time-delay – 10 seconds (minimum) at 500% of rated current (8 seconds for 110-30a sizes).^^agency information: ce, UL listed, std. 248-12, class rk-5, guide jddz, file E4273 CSA certified, C22.2 no. 248.12, class 1422-02, file 53787.
Heavy duty time-delay fuse used in motor protection. When sized correctly, it helps protect motors from burnout caused by overloads or single-phasing. The time-delay feature allows the initial startup current surge for typical motors to pass, but opens prior to motor burnout when longer, dangerous overloads are present. In addition, the dual-element design opens in as little as 0.004 second if the fuse experiences short-circuit conditions. UL Listed Class R (IR: 200kA). Groove in end cap or notch in knife blade permit the fuse to be used in Class H, Class K or Class R fuse blocks. Cartridge fuses are used to protect motors and branch circuits where higher amps or volt ratings are required. They are available in a wide variety of sizes, amp and volt ratings up to 600Vac and 600 amps. Cartridge fuses are used extensively in commercial, industrial and agricultural applications as well as residential fuse panels, air conditioning, pumps, appliances and other equipment. Cartridge fuses are available in two types. General Purpose fuses have no time-delay and protect fuse panels, appliances and branch circuits. Heavy- Duty fuses have a time-delay feature, allowing momentary motor startups. Both are available in 250Vac and 600Vac versions with catalog symbol and amp rating stamped on the knife blade or end cap.
